"Any Other Day" Nominated for 16th Annual Independent Music Awards!

Feb 13, 2018 - We just found out that our song "Any Other Day" (off of Brighter In The Dark) has been nominated for the 16th Annual Independent Music Awards in the Social Action category!

"Nominees were selected from thousands of submissions worldwide by esteemed industry panelists including Tom Waits, Bakithi Kumalo, Amy Lee, Slayer, and many more. Winners will be announced March 31st at an awards ceremony at Lincoln Center in New York City."

HAPPY NEW YEAR, FRIENDS! 

We hope you this finds you snuggled in somewhere today drinking a hot frothy beverage and enjoying MAXIMUM COZE. 

Personally, we have no intention of getting out of our pajamas today, as the snow continues to fall here in South Philly. We're currently at Ty's mom's house, enjoying her soulful Jewish cooking, packing on the pounds (totally worth it), and readying ourselves for a very busy 2017. 

Next up: The 2017 CD RELEASE TOUR

Later this month, we'll be kicking off our CD release tours for Brighter In The Dark in the NORTHWEST, with many dates all across the U.S. (and hopefully beyond!) to follow. We're excited to have special guest musicians, including a full band (for the first time ever) on select shows, and all shows will feature lots of tunes from the new album. 

Please come out and help us celebrate! We can toast to a new year, new music, and a new chance to make the world a better place. 

The shows listed below are just the beginning, so be sure to check back for more dates. If your town is not listed, write to us with your suggestions. Better yet, host a house concert or private party. 

And once again, thanks for being the absolute best part of our 2016. Because of you, we got to unleash our creative beasts, collaborate with some of our favorite musicians, and go make the best album either of us has ever made. Over the past couple weeks, we've mailed out nearly a thousand packages* to those of you who Kickstarted and pre-ordered last year. We are holding in our hands the finished master of Mouths of Babes' first full-length album, "Brighter In The Dark." Yes, it's finally DONE! We couldn't be prouder of how it turned out or more grateful that we got to make it. And we can't WAIT for you to hear it. In the next few weeks, we'll be finishing up the album artwork and mailing out Kickstarter rewards and pre-orders.

UH-mazing! Last night, we watched as you all helped us nail our FIRST STRETCH GOAL! 

Thank you to everyone who has jumped on this folky bandwagon of feelings thus far...we are amazed, inspired, and energized by your belief in us. It is difficult to describe how incredible it feels to have this community as our backup band - a virtual sea of kindred spirits offering support and love. Wow, y'all. 

We still have FIVE DAYS left to do as much as we can do with this momentum, so let's keep it going! Next up: 

STRETCH GOAL #2 - $50,000 - TOUR SUPPORT & MUSICIANS 
A huge part of releasing an album is taking it out on the road, but it's also one of the most expensive, and we can't always travel and far and wide as we'd like. Hitting this stretch goal would give us the leeway to travel to more cities for our CD release tours (possibly even internationally) and to bring along a musician or two when it makes sense to help fill out the sound.
